Internship - Industrial Planning

The Industrial Planning Intern will review our day-to-day processes and existing reporting. He/she will be able to enhance or create new reporting/tools to facilitate the team’s operations to better support departmental goals. The Intern will have the opportunity to learn, evaluate, and document the Industrial Planning Team’s monthly Planning process and identify opportunities/efficiencies.
This position is a hybrid role that is based out of our New York City office. The rate for this position is $25 per hour.
Key Accountabilities
Reporting Optimization
+ Identify improvements to Industrial Planning reporting to optimize the existing planning processes (process and reports related to open orders/past due, new product shipment schedules, supplier metrics, high jewelry reporting)
+ Objective is to create clear, easy to use reports that will be used regularly by Industrial Planning team
Industrial Planning Process Overview and SOP support
+ Learn Industrial Planning’s key processes and support SOP documentation
+ Testing and validating SOPs and proposing any potential improvements
+ Support continuous communication plan of SOPs to cross-functional teams
+ Generate a visual process presentation for Industrial Planning Team’s key processes
Safety
+ Demonstrate safety leadership by adherence to workplace safety policies and procedures. Recognize and positively reinforce good safety behaviors while delivering immediate, specific and constructive feedback to employees who demonstrate unsafe work behavior.
Required Qualifications
+ Currently enrolled in Business or Supply Chain field curriculum program
+ Proficient in English
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving and attention to detail
+ Strong MS Office skills particularly using Excel, Power Point, Visio and Word
Preferred Qualifications
+ MBA student
