Position Overview
As a member of the Global Assortment Planning team within the Supply Chain organization, the MBA Intern is responsible for driving assortment innovation to maximize sales and productivity. This role is designed for a candidate who has a passion for innovation in luxury retail strategy and a keen eye for leveraging analytics to drive business success.
The MBA Intern will be at the forefront of evolving our assortment planning processes. The Intern will have the opportunity to lead and drive innovative projects that will support the team in reaching established goals on sales and productivity. The Intern will employ advanced analytical techniques, including AI tools and store typology analysis, to curate dynamic and personalized product assortments tailored to diverse retail environments.
This position will be based out of our office in New York, NY. The pay range for this role is **$35-$50 per hour.**
Key Accountabilities:
Project Leadership
+ Example Projects:
+ Create innovative dashboards to measure KPIs across sales, assortment productivity and inventory fulfillment. Evaluate success measures for current strategies and make recommendations for future evolution.
+ Evaluate effectiveness of assortments across major markets/cities to ensure a strong and distinctive representation of the brand around the world. Evaluate in comparison to local competition.
+ Identify strategic assortment and personalization opportunities for high potential markets in context to the broader zone network strategy and commercial feedback.
+ Prepare summaries on assortment strategies and develop executive level presentations to inform key business decisions and secure buy-in on objectives.
Global Supply Chain Opportunities
+ Gain exposure to other areas within Supply Chain including Inventory Planning and Demand Planning.
+ Deep dive into international market trends and understand the complexities of global retail strategies. Gather global feedback and communicate timely updates to partners around the world.
+ Develop proficiency in state-of-the-art analytical tools and methodologies used in assortment planning, including AI analytics.
+ Participate in strategic projects requiring problem solving and analysis to propose new opportunities to accelerate business performance.
Required Qualifications:
+ College degree and in pursuit of MBA degree
+ Passion for retail industry
+ 2+ years of business experience
+ Strong analytical skills
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Proficiency in MS Excel and core planning apps
+ Experience building reports in PowerBI
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate productively and ability to lead in a team environment
+ Strong decision-making skills with demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively
+ Operational excellence
+ Self-motivation with a strong drive for achievement
+ Agility and comfort in working in a highly dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Current enrollment in an MBA program with a concentration in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Retail Management or related fields.
+ Understanding of AI capabilities and Supply Chain application
+ Knowledge of Anaplan System
