    Summary This position is located at Eisenhower Hall. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Responsibilities Assists management with the operation of facility in accordance with established procedures. Issues, receives and controls cash receipts and change funds; verifies cash count of funds turned in by cashiers. Determines cash shortage or overages. Assures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities. Submits daily report of operations. Assists in setting up parties according to party plan. May assist bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier's bag. Completes Daily Activity Report. Completes fire safety checks and secures the facility. May monitor inventories, place and receive food and beverage orders using food and beverage software. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Work experience with progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items (cash items are currency, coins, checks, money orders and credit card receipts). 2. Applicant must meet state/local age requirements (18 years of age) for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment. 3. Skill in providing customer service. 4. Ability to communicate effectively. This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": 1. Knowledge of setting up bars. The knowledge must be reflected on your resume to be considered a highly preferred candidate. Applicants meeting the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred first to the Selecting Official. All other applicants will be referred for consideration if the certificate (referral list) is returned with no selection. Education Additional Information Area of Consideration The area of consideration for this vacancy announcement is for Citizens and Non-Citizens who reside within a 65-mile radius of West Point. (Military Spouses moving to the area within 30 days from the closing date of this announcement and Involuntarily Separated Military (ISM) members claiming ISM Preference are included in this area of consideration.) Manual Application Option If applying manually, all completed manual application forms (along with resume and other supporting documentation) must be delivered to the West Point NAF Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) located at: 681 Rogers Place, Room G-10 West Point, New York 10996 Monday thru Friday (not open on Federal Holidays) between the hours of 8:30a.m. and 3:00p.m. and NO LATER THAN 3:00p.m. on the closing date of the announcement. **Please note, that West Point has a restricted access policy and any person who chooses to personally deliver an application to the CPAC should bring along at least one photo identification and report to the West Point Visitor Center at least 30 minutes prior to attempting to visit the CPAC **NOTE: Applications will not be reviewed for completeness and any incomplete applications will result in an ineligible rating. Neglecting to respond to the job-related questions will result in an ineligible rating. PCS Costs Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
