The Center for Disability Services offers hope, innovation, and achievement to the people we support. Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.
We are searching for a Practice Manager of Dental Services to join our practice. The successful candidate will be working at Center Health Care. We are known for our quality of care for individuals with disabilities, which is at the heart of our mission. Now, we are pleased to offer this same personalized, expert care to the entire community, including both primary care as well as a number of specialty services.
Responsibilities:
Staffing/Workforce:
+ Oversees Dental Staff including interviews, orientation and training, supervising, performance appraisals, hiring, and separations in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer
+ Works with the Chief Medical Officer for adequate and appropriate staffing to ensure recommended and prescribed care is provided in a timely manner. Continually analyzes Provider Schedules to maximize efficiency in service delivery and utilization of services. Recommends FTE required for meeting practice needs. Initiates staff requisitions to be submitted for approval.
+ Monitors all training including general and divisional & practice/department orientation and ensure compliance with all mandatory training.
+ Oversees and coordinates day-to-day staffing levels by approving time off requests and adjusting changes in daily staff assignments due to patient appointment needs. Ensures the accuracy of attendance/payroll information for staff.
+ Liaison with dental staff and Chief Medical Officer to ensure medical staff supervision and practice issues are discussed and resolved.
+ Coordinates and schedules St. Margaret’s dental rotation to provide on-site services to St. Margaret’s residents.
+ Coordinates EMR training for new employees.
+ Manages supply ordering and manages inventory for the Practice.
+ Works with Center’s IT support in collecting data related to the practice, analyzes data, and acts on trends to assure the maximization of service operations.
+ Works closely with Billing Office to identify areas of issue and develops and implements corrective actions as necessary to maximize successful billing receivables.
PRACTICE DIRECTION AND EVALUATION – Dental Practice
+ Works with the Chief Medical Officer to formulate practice goals and actions plans to ensure staff morale, fiscal responsibility and quality care.
+ Works with Chief Medical Officer to foster an atmosphere of excellence in customer service within the practice; responds directly to patient complaints about staff/services and follows up as indicated.
+ Ensures quality assurance activities of practices and reports QA activity, findings, trends and follow-up to the Chief Medical Officer
+ Participates in Article 28 Quality Committees.
+ Works with the Chief Medical Officer and providers to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including, HIPAA, Article 28 Department of Health, third party payer, professional license/standards of practice, as applies to practice services.
+ Assist in the development, maintenance, and implementation of practice policies and procedures.
+ Facilitates high quality, integrated service delivery models that both meet the needs of the patients and adhere to standards of practice.
+ Coordinates relationship with dental affiliations- HVCC dental hygiene rotation and St Peter’s Dental Residency program.
PRACTICE OPERATION:
+ Assists in development of annual practice/department budget; monitors expenses, as per budget.
+ Oversees staff schedules, enrollments/wait list information, and patient attendance/no-show information, and takes corrective measures to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
+ Monitors supply agreements to reduce operating expenses as applicable.
+ Establishes and oversees maintenance protocols for all equipment and inventory system for practice supplies.
+ Establishes goals that continually increase production annually.
+ Identifies strategies that improve financial sustainability.
+ Establishes strategies for generating increased referrals.
+ Implements strategies to reduce departmental no-show percentages.
+ Develops an understanding and presents training related to Dental financials.
+ Creates performance goals and expectations for all members of the dental department.
+ Creates a positive and professional environment that promotes employee satisfaction.
Requirements:
+ Associates degree in field of Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Business Office Management, or related field
+ At least 2 year(s) of job related experience, specifically in practice management with supervisory responsibilities

Compensation Range:
$78,499.20 - $84,864.00
