Summary of the Role:
At **PDS Tech Commercial** , we’re seeking motivated **PMT Residential - Field Service Specialist** - to support a long-term project in **Lafayette, Louisiana** . This role is critical to ensure accurate and safe electric meter installations, contributing to reliable energy services for the community.
What You’ll Do:
+ Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, performing physical tasks such as walking, climbing, and stooping for up to 10 hours per day.
+ Check existing meters, install replacement meters, and perform final meter tests.
+ Accurately collect and record installation data using a company-provided handheld device.
+ Maintain exceptional safety and quality standards.
+ Identify hazardous and abnormal operating conditions related to electric meter sets.
+ Safely pull and install electric meters using appropriate hand tools.
+ Meet daily installation goals as established by the Project Manager.
+ Communicate professionally with utility customers during installations.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
+ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
+ Ability to pass an **MVR check, DOT PHMSA-** compliant drug screen, and pre-employment background check.
+ Strong technical, written, and oral communication skills; ability to work independently.
+ Ability to use hand tools requiring upper body forces up to 30 lbs.
+ Adherence to all Federal, State, and Local driving requirements, company policies, and OSHA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous experience in Electrical Field Service Operations.
+ Prior experience installing electric meters.
+ Familiarity with technology, computers, and various software programs.

**Pay Details:** $22.00 per hour
