JOB SUMMARY
The Business Optimization Director will support senior leadership in accelerating performance and efficiencies across 24 Hour Fitness. This role will focus on driving operational excellence, improving cross-functional alignment, and ensuring consistent execution of strategic initiatives across clubs and corporate functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
* Drive execution of strategic initiatives, use strong organization, change management, communication and best practice techniques to implement the plans.
* Enhance organizational efficiency/effectiveness through targeted business process improvements
* Act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to executive leadership.
* Strengthen internal communication and alignment across functions.
* Strategic alignment between executive leadership and operational teams
* Optimization of business processes to improve efficiencies
* Improved execution and follow-through on cross-functional initiatives
* Centralized support to manage priorities, communications, and decision-making
* Proactive identification of business improvements and pain points
* Partner with functional leaders to assess operational gaps and deliver process improvements
* Drive preparation and follow-up for executive meetings and business reviews for strategic initiatives
* Act as a right-hand partner to the executive team, helping set and manage business priorities
* Ensure strategic initiatives are rolled out consistently across locations
* Centralize feedback from field leaders and corporate teams to surface trends and remove blockers
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Economics, Engineering, or related field--or equivalent experience.
* 10+ years in business operations, program management, or strategy execution roles, with 5+ years leading cross-functional initiatives at a multi-location, consumer-facing organization (retail, fitness, hospitality, or similar).
* Proven track record driving operational excellence, process improvement, and change management across field and corporate functions.
* Experience standing up or optimizing portfolio/program management, including prioritization, governance routines, executive reporting, and stakeholder alignment.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Experience in fitness, retail, or hospitality with multi-unit operations and a field leadership model.
* Prior role as a Chief of Staff, PMO leader, operations director, or business transformation leader.
* Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PROSCI (or similar).
* Experience supporting executive forums: business reviews, steering committees, prioritization councils.
* Hands-on with workflow tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com) and knowledge management (e.g., SharePoint/Confluence).

Travel Requirement
* Up to 30% travel to corporate office and/or club locations

Benefits Summary

Compensation Summary
**All Employees:** Free Club Membership, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Basic Group Live and AD&D Insurance ($10,000), and 401k Savings and Investment Plan.
**Average of 30 hours or more per week:** Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off, and Sickness Benefits (in addition to the above).
**Washington State** : Receive 40 hours of sick time on your first day of employment. After 6 months of employment, accrue 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours, inclusive of time carried over.
Actual offer may vary from posted hiring range based on location, work experience, and/or education.
Salary range will vary based on geography of the applicant.
Pay Range for Los Angeles, Orange County and Seattle: $134,550.00-$181,643.00 (Exempt), $64.69-$87.33 (Non-Exempt)
Pay Range for Bay Area (California) & New York City (incl. New Jersey): $140,400.00-$189,540.00 (Exempt), $67.50-$91.13 (Non-Exempt)
Pay Range for San Diego & Carlsbad (California) and all other locations: $126,360.00-$170,586.00 (Exempt), $60.75-$82.01 (Non-Exempt)
