Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
Responsibilities:
Entry-level role into patient care with no prior experience required. Responsible for performing basic patient evaluations, fitting and applying prefabricated and custom-fit orthotic devices, in addition to providing routine follow-up care as needed. Assists in the coordination of patient care with other healthcare professionals. Work is performed in accordance with established procedures and practices under full supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Gains hands-on experience in a structured environment. With guidance, conducts patient evaluations by gathering medical history, performing manual examinations, and assessing clinical needs through observation and data analysis.
+ Collaborates with the patient, their family, and healthcare providers to develop a treatment plan and recommend an appropriate device.
+ Performs accurate patient measurements and assessments using appropriate tools and techniques to support orthotic/prosthetic design and alignment, including body manipulation when needed for correction.
+ With guidance, fits orthotic devices using accepted methods to ensure optimal function, comfort, and appearance.
+ Conducts regular follow-up evaluations to ensure continued proper fit and function of devices.
+ Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to device performance through ongoing assessment.
+ Educates patients about procedures and their role in care using clear, effective communication to support successful device use.
+ Communicates relevant patient information to referring physicians and healthcare providers to support coordinated care.
+ Ensures patient care procedures comply with industry standards by staying current with regulatory and professional guidelines.
+ Monitors and tracks inventory levels for orthotic and prosthetic supplies and devices; ensure accuracy through routine counts and documentation.
+ Places and manages orders to maintain appropriate stock levels; communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding supply need
+ Receives incoming shipments, inspect for accuracy and condition, and properly document store materials. Prepare outcoming shipments according to organization protocol.
+ Ensures stocks is organized, labeled, and stored appropriately in designated locations. Rotate stock to minimize expired or obsolete materials

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
+ High School diploma and experience in a healthcare setting required
+ Associate's degree preferred
+ Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
+ Ability to interact with patients and physicians on a professional level required
+ Willingness and ability to learn required
