Position Overview
International is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Control Manager to lead quality strategy and execution at our San Antonio manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who partners closely with Operations, drives continuous improvement, and ensures quality is embedded at every stage of the manufacturing process.
The Senior Quality Control Manager plays a critical role in enabling operational success by treating Operations as a key internal customer. You will champion a culture of “quality at the source,” guide the organization toward strategic quality objectives, and lead a high-performing team focused on prevention, compliance, and continuous improvement.
San Antonio Manufacturing runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:30AM - 4:00PM). This role will support production and may need to cover production recovery times including Fridays and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as a strategic partner to Operations, supporting uninterrupted production and quality built into manufacturing processes
+ Lead the development and execution of short- and long-term quality strategies aligned with company goals
+ Track, analyze, and improve quality metrics and performance indicators
+ Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality
+ Own and maintain the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, corporate, and global standards
+ Identify and eliminate non-conformities and non-value-added activities
+ Promote continuous improvement through employee engagement and accountability
+ Develop and execute cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives
+ Plan and lead internal, customer, and third-party audits
+ Evaluate supplier performance and drive supplier quality improvement initiatives
+ Recruit, develop, and mentor the Quality team, aligning capabilities with current and future business needs
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of quality control or product manufacturing experience
+ At least 3 years of lead experience
OR
+ Master's degree and at least 5 years of quality control or product manufacturing experience
+ At least 3 years of lead experience
OR
+ At least 10 years of quality control or product manufacturing experience
+ At least 3 years of lead experience
Additional Requirements
+ Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
+ Demonstrated experience leading a quality organization across management and production teams
+ 5+ years of experience working with quality operating systems in a manufacturing environment
+ 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving production and process issues
+ 5+ years of experience managing budgets and delivering cost-effective solutions
+ 3+ years of direct customer interaction and support
+ 3+ years of experience in supplier quality and development
+ Proven leadership of industrial quality improvement initiatives
+ Strong expertise in structured problem-solving and root cause analysis
+ Advanced knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including PPAP, APQP, SPC, GR&R, DOE, FMEA, Cpk, and GD&T
+ Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
