Where is the work:

+ On-Site (5 days). The company has designated this role as safety sensitive.

Job Summary:

As the Occupational Health Nurse in Grand Rapids, MI you will develop and administer employee health, wellbeing, and preventative health services. The Occupational Health Nurse will manage medical surveillance and training related to Corporate Medical Services, Be Well, and EHS requirements. Also responsible for facilitating care/case management for employee illness and injury.

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Associates Degree in Nursing required.

+ Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse required

+ 3-5 years of experience in occupational health, case management, and clinical nursing required

+ Certifications in First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, and AED.

+ PPE training

Recommended:

+ AAOHN membership.

+ COHN certification.

+ CAOHC certification (if required by facility).

Skills and Abilities:

+ Knowledge of community medical services for referrals.

+ Effective organizational and documentation skills.

+ Proficiency with office programs and equipment.

+ Teamwork and strong communication skills.

+ Ability to maintain medical confidentiality.

+ Flexible work schedule.

+ Minimal travel

Reporting Structure:

+ Reports to EHS Manager, with a dotted line to Corporate Medical Services.

Responsibilities:

+ **Case Management:** Coordinate referrals, complete forms, communicate with physicians, monitor cases, and facilitate return to work.

+ **Absence Management:** Assist with forms, communicate with physicians, and coordinate return to work.

+ **Medical Care:** Conduct fitness assessments, drug/alcohol screens, periodic testing, initial injury/illness assessments, direct care, emergency care, and vaccination programs.

+ **Health and Wellness:** Identify opportunities, lead Be Well initiatives, coordinate screenings, health fairs, and wellness sessions.

+ **Training:** Conduct regulatory training and coordinate First Responder training.

+ **Consultation and Support:** Provide counseling, consult with managers, build partnerships, and maintain communication with relevant teams.

+ **General:** Ensure a safe working environment, promote cooperation, maintain compliance, and manage health records and medical facilities.

Compensation:

Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000
