Kelly, in partnership with a local organization, is looking for a **General Maintenance Technician** in **Cleveland, OH** ! Our client is growing and adding skilled maintenance technicians to their team!

     

    This is a direct hire **General Maintenance Technician** position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

    Position Information:

    • Carry out scheduled maintenance and necessary repairs on facility infrastructure, such as HVAC, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment, ensuring smooth daily operations.

    • Diagnose and resolve issues with building control systems and oversee the proper function of essential equipment.

    • Perform hands-on tasks including electrical troubleshooting, plumbing, carpentry, lighting replacements, pest management, and maintenance of outdoor spaces, as well as clearing snow and ice during appropriate seasons.

    • Operate and care for various vehicles and equipment, such as trucks, tractors, power mowers, and specialized machinery, following all safety procedures.

    • Oversee the receipt and secure transportation of deliveries by verifying orders, preparing items for storage or transport, and maintaining accurate records.

    • Maintain organized documentation of all completed maintenance activities, materials utilized, and hours worked using the facility’s work order system, and provide timely updates on assigned projects.

    Required Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED, along with at least two years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance.

    • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and current auto insurance coverage.

    • Additional training in HVAC, plumbing, or a related technical field, or completion of an apprenticeship or vocational program, is highly desirable

    • Strong understanding of property management systems and work order tracking software, as well as basic carpentry, repair, electrical, and plumbing techniques.

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, prioritize tasks, work independently or as part of a team, and adapt to flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.
