    What You Will Do:

    + Machine rod guides as per customer demand in accordance with all quality and safety protocols

    + Uses complex machines in the production process

    + Maintains and repairs machines as needed

    + Maintains a clean and safe work area every day

    + Follows safety rules and procedures; notifies supervisor of any issues in the manufacturing process that may impact safety

    + May coach and mentor less experienced Operators

    + May make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations

    + Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures

    + Contributes to the department continuous improvement culture

    + Maintains confidentiality of all matters

    + Other duties as required

    Pre-Employment Requirements:

    + Drug and alcohol test

    + Criminal background check

    + Education verification

    + Employment verification

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or GED or equivalent education and/or experience.

    + 2+ years of relevant experience.

    + Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Good oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to follow written and spoken instructions

    + Basic analytical skills

    + Basic blueprint reading and interpretation skills

    + Basic math skills

    + Basic tool skills, including the ability to use a tape measure

    + Basic organizational and time management skills

    + Basic computer skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with machine tools

    Physical Demands:

    + Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly

    + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    + The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

    + The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

    + The employee is regularly required to stand for a full shift.
