    The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.

    Role Description:

    This position serves as a key member of the Aviation Operations Team supporting global mission planning and execution for the U.S. Department of State DoS, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Office of Aviation INLA. Operating from the WASS Global Mission Center within the Program Management Office, the incumbent is the lead operations planner, coordinator, and functional manager for all global Personnel Recovery PR, Force Protection FP, Physical and Operational Security, and Intelligence programs. The role provides strategic guidance, operational oversight, and subject matter expertise to ensure the safety, security, and mission success of worldwide rotary- and fixed-wing aviation operations directly supporting U.S. diplomatic and engagement efforts.

    Key R** **esponsibility:

    + Serve as the programs primary functional manager for all security activities, including Personnel Recovery, Force Protection, Physical and Operational Security, air and ground operations security, and all Intelligence programs.

    + Supervise and manage all program Intelligence and Security personnel, ensuring effective performance and mission alignment.

    + Provide oversight of Force Protection and Intelligence-related subcontracts, ensuring contractual compliance and high-quality deliverables.

    + Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all program security operations across global sites.

    + Develop, standardize, and manage policies, directives, and Standard Operating Procedures SOPs governing all security operations and activities.

    + Collaborate directly with DoS INLA, U.S. military partners, host-nation officials, U.S. Embassy leadership, and Country Teams on daily and emergent air and ground mission planning, integration, and operational support.

    + Provide expert advice, training, and best practices to U.S. Country Teams and host nation PR elements for personnel and aircraft recovery operations.

    + Conduct in depth analysis of tactical, operational, and strategic threats including geopolitical, military, and transnational organized crime developments assessing impacts on personnel, assets, and operations; recommend risk-mitigation strategies.

    + Prepare and deliver briefings, talking points, white papers, and executive level assessments on all aspects of program security operations for AAR WASS and U.S. Government decision makers.

    + Direct time-sensitive reach back support to address issues impacting OCONUS site operations, personnel safety, security posture, and mission continuity.

    + Maintain continuous situational awareness of current and future operations, proactively identify and resolve issues affecting mission planning and execution.

    + Lead contingency planning efforts and develop Concepts of Operations CONOPS for complex, multi domain issues affecting program performance.

    + Deploy to austere, remote, and high risk environments as required to support operational needs and program objectives. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

    + 15 years experience in leadership, management and or operations support positions.

    + Demonstrated performance and other related operations experience may be considered and or substituted.

    + Professional experience in Intelligence operations and proficiency in the Military Decision Making Process MDMP. OCONUS experience managing force protection projects supporting real world static and mobile security operations.

    + Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to senior U.S. Government, military, and international stakeholders, both orally and in writing.

    Preferred

    + Experience in counterterrorism and or counter transnational organized crime missions.

    + Experience with Open Source Intelligence OSINT tools, methodologies, and production.

    + Combat or contingency operations experience as a planner and or operator.

    + Graduate of the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies SAMS, Tactical Operations Officer Course, U.S. Army Special Forces Operations courses, or advanced Intelligence courses.

    + Prior senior military experience conducting and planning Special Operations, ground combat arms, security, and or intelligence activities. High-Risk Driving Course certification.
