    Job overview and responsibilities

     

    Reporting to the Director of Engine Repair and Overhaul, leadership of all Technical Operations activities for Engine Overhaul and Repair for F117, PW4-94", PW4-112" & V2500 engines, ensuring the highest levels of safety, operational performance and regulatory compliance while maintaining a strong focus on product and process improvement, cost control, productivity and team building. Support the Director to plan and actively manage both long range and day to day operations within the Engine Overhaul and Repair department. Works closely with direct reports and labor to insure optimal productivity and a Working Together culture.

     

    + Execution of departmental strategy and business plan through direct leadership of base personnel

    + Responsible for budgetary compliance and cost control within product line

    + Provide leadership and direction to Engine Shop organization including labor workforce to maximize productivity and output in accordance with collective bargaining agreements while ensuring necessary resources are available

    + Build / reinforce a fair and respectful work environment through consistent application of CBA work rules and company policies

    + Execute Shop performance goals and objectives aligning with divisional and company goals

    + Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, financial, compliance, safety and human resource related performance objectives

    + Ensure safety and security of aircraft / components / engines and operations

    + Interface with regulatory authorities

    + Ensure regulatory compliance or technical operations activities on local basis

    + Participate in the development and executing the tactical plans to implement Engine Shop strategy

    + Maintain a high level of communication with all levels and employee groups within Engine Shop

    + Report status of operations, highlighting significant events, while providing direction to assigned product line to ensure divisional objectives are achieved

    + Meets or exceeds operational performance goals including minimum spare levels, cycle time, and productivity and safety objectives

    + Meets or exceeds business plan objectives

    + Identify key issues needing to be addressed and assign projects where applicable

    Qualifications

    What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

    + Bachelor's degree

    + Comparable experience required

    + 7+ yrs of experience managing work as a leader in the aircraft maintenance industry

    + 8 years in the aircraft maintenance industry required,

    + Extensive knowledge of Engine and aircraft maintenance operations or repair, Continuous Improvement (Lean) and applicable FAA regulations and requirements

    + Prior MRO experience

    + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

    + Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

    + Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

    What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

    + Master's degree

    + Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, etc.

    + FAA A&P Certificate

    + Six Sigma/Lean certified (Green Belt/Black Belt)

    + 2 years in a leadership role within a large maintenance organization including a unionized labor workforce is preferred a proven successful track record preferred

    + Strong background and technical knowledge of engine types and maintenance programs is preferred

    + Data Analytics

    + Develop and Mange KPI’s

     

    The base pay range for this role is $140,600.00 to $183,108.00.

     

    The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
