Description:
Greets, instructs, directs, and schedules patients’ appointments, answers the phone and takes accurate information from employers and clients. Provides customer service and helps to facilitate getting answers and/or solutions to the problem. Performs responsibilities for drug screen consortia, drug screen recording, and drug screen reporting. Monitors and perform ongoing quality assurance activities. Assists in on-site scheduling for employers and staff. Works as directed by manager.

+ Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service/care appropriate to the age of the patients served, in accordance with Mercy standards.
+ Adheres to standardized clinical policies and procedures, operating systems, and workloads to facilitate/improve productivity of nursing staff.
+ Selects, trains/orients, manages, assigns, and counsels all drug/alcohol testing
+ Monitors equipment used in drug/alcohol testing patient care to ensure a safe working environment.
+ Is responsible for ensuring appropriate inventory of medical supplies, approvals and receipt of medications used in the clinic, and general patient care items. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies, licensing boards and The Joint Commission standards.
+ Provides assistance as needed in the full scope of nursing duties and assists with patient education/instruction.
+ Promotes personal and staff professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations. In conjunction with the physicians and other leadership, ensures that an appropriate working and patient care environment is maintained.
+ Demonstrates leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, and teamwork when facilitating clinical standard and operational decisions and resolving issues.
+ Demonstrates leadership competencies of team building, vision creation, and influence.
+ Incorporates change leadership strategies through building a compelling vision, understanding the perspectives of the stakeholders, identification for tactics to elicit commitment and address resistance. Improves the quality and effectiveness of the regional ministry's overall health care initiatives by providing leadership and operational support of area of responsibility.
+ Maintains confidentiality of information pertaining to clients, physicians, employees, and MercyOne business. Is knowledgeable of and actively participates in improving patient safety and reducing risk to patients.
+ Complies with Safety and Infection Control Policies and Procedures. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
+ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
+ Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

General Requirements
+ High school graduate or equivalent.
+ More than 2 years of clinical experience required; drug/alcohol-testing experience preferred.
