The Business Development Manager Industrial SOA manages all commercial aspects of the key accounts & distributors as well as developing and closing on new strategic accounts and opportunities in the assigned region and/or market. He/she establishes and maintains direct contact with the customer base and is required to coordinate the tactical support of customer requirements, the ability to strongly demonstrate our products and systems to gain customer engagement is also an essential quality required.
The coordination of quotation requests with Customer Service, as well as the establishment of forecasts is also a requirement. This position is also the point of contact for escalated problem resolution.
The position is also responsible for the monitoring and analysis of market segments within her/his responsibility. This includes providing market intelligence to the business for tactical and strategic planning, identification of new products, applications, and/or customers within her/his markets, and establishing pricing and positioning with the Marketing Group. A key part of the marketing scope is the candidates’ ability and experience to engage with the digital landscape and leverage the technology to expand and drive sales growth for the extensive business opportunities
Essential Functions:
+ Support in the identification, development, and definition of profitable business relationships in new and existing markets by leveraging product portfolio & competencies.
+ Devise & implement strategy and screening criteria for new business opportunities.
+ Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing, and negotiating contracts in alignment with business operations.
+ Develop strong relationships at target strategic and end user accounts, differentiate through value and solutions-selling, disciplined process.
+ Develop and articulate a business plan to move these new applications from a concept stage to commercialization.
+ Develop and nourish sound working relationships that extend through the business organization.
+ Determine needs of current & new products and relay pertinent information to appropriate contact points in the technical community and R&D team.
+ Manage personally or coordinate delivery of responses to above requests with customer.
+ Establish and manage distribution channels and their pricing, and co-ordinate product training and support
+ Develop pricing to close opportunities at acceptable margins and drive contract/pricing negotiations with support from the commercial team
+ Manage any issues related to product quality, payment, or credit terms.
+ Drive contract/pricing negotiations with support from Marketing and upper Management
+ Support yearly budget and quarterly re-forecast preparation.
+ Collect, analyze, and transmit market intelligence regarding customers, market evolution, competitors, and technology trends to guide the direction of the new product development pipeline. This to include an active participation in product development testing where appropriate, to enhance the success of any new portfolio opportunities.
+ Identify potential acquisition & partnership targets to support market & business plans.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering combined with Marketing/Business experience or coursework Required.
+ 4-5 years experience Sales & new business development or product management experience in industrial/technical /global markets Required
+ 5+ years experience Ceramics or Industrial Markets Experience Required
+ Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and negotiate at senior levels Required
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills
+ Professional demeanor, reliable, personable, trustworthy, a team player
+ Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office 365
+ Demonstrated ability to lead all aspects of the business development for the Industrial SOA and the communication of this for material sales growth.
+ Highly motivated with the ability to work in an agile environment

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is **$111,000.00 to $177,000.00** per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 15% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is **$127,600.00-TTC to $203,500.00-TTC** . Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
