Job Purpose Summary
The Sr. Manager, Global Inventory & Data Analytics is responsible for designing and executing global inventory strategies and developing a world-class analytics foundation that enables end-to-end supply chain visibility and performance.
This role owns inventory performance across global manufacturing sites and distribution centers. It drives operational excellence through the configuration, governance and continuous improvement of the ERP systems and related platforms, ensuring accurate planning parameters, safety stock policies, PFEP, decoupling points, and effective supply chain segmentation.
In addition, this leader develops advanced data analytics capabilities that enable supply chain transparency, decision-making, and performance management across planning, logistics, procurement, and operations. By embedding repeatable operating mechanics and KPI governance, the role transforms data into actionable insights that drives enterprise-wide action.
The position serves as a strategic partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Commercial teams. The ideal candidate combines analytical expertise, business acumen, and leadership to improve service levels, strengthen working capital and enhance global supply chain efficiency.
What you will do
Inventory Strategy & Governance
+ Develop and govern global inventory policies, including safety stocks, segmentation logic (ABC, PFEP, DDMRP buffers), and replenishment models.
+ Implement PFEP and decoupling strategies to improve flow, reduce lead-time variability, and align inventory levels with service requirements.
+ Translate demand variability, capacity constraints, and production strategies into optimized inventory positioning.
+ Reduce slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory through predictive analytics and cross-functional actions.
Supply Chain Analytics & Visibility
+ Build and operationalize advanced analytical capabilities to support the broader supply chain—including inventory, demand/supply planning, logistics, strategic sourcing, etc.
+ Design and implement operating mechanics (dashboards, KPIs, cadence) to enable real-time visibility and action across levels (sites, regions, and corporate).
+ Establish scalable analytics frameworks and tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Tableau) that drive standardization and data-driven execution.
+ Partner with IT and business system owners to ensure data accuracy, hierarchy alignment, master data consistency, and systemic integration.
ERP Implementation & Data Management
+ Configure and maintain supply chain parameters in D365 and other ERP system (e.g., MOQ, LT, UOM, Incoterms, payment terms, price breaks).
+ Coordinate ERP upgrades with planning, purchasing, and engineering.
+ Create documentation, training materials, and visual aids to drive ERP adoption.
+ Analyze and enhance data processing modules, identifying automation and improvement opportunities.
+ Champion change management initiatives to strengthen adoption of new processes and technologies.
Cross-Functional Performance Enablement
+ Support S&OP and Supply Chain processes by connecting inventory insights with demand plans, capacity profiles, and working capital objectives.
+ Oversee strategic modeling of inventory risk, lead time scenarios, product launches, and regional expansion planning.
+ Lead alignment between Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams by turning data narratives into decisions and action plans.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
+ Lead and develop a team of analysts in both inventory management and supply chain analytics.
+ Champion the evolution toward a digitally enabled, insight-led supply chain culture.
+ Drive continuous improvement using lean methods, structured problem-solving, and technology enablement.
What you will need
+ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, inventory management, including data analytics and ERP implementation.
+ Strong leadership experience managing teams across multiple sites or geographies.
+ Proven success driving global inventory optimization and reporting standardization.
+ Deep expertise in D365 or equivalent ERP systems, with a proven record of driving process improvements.
+ Advanced analytical and modeling skills; proficient in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SQL, or similar tools.
+ Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
+ Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken). Additional languages a plus.
