Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking a Staff Solution Engineer – Advanced Mechanical & Electromechanical Design to join their team. As a Staff Solution Engineer, you will be part of the Mechanical Engineering Department supporting cross-functional R&D, Manufacturing, and Field Service teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, advanced problem-solving abilities, and technical leadership, which will align successfully in the organization

**Job Title:** Staff Solution Engineer – Advanced Mechanical & Electromechanical Design (1-Year Contract)

**Location:** Tarrytown, NY

**Pay Range:** $46.49/hr – $64.08/hr

What’s the Job?

+ Lead and execute complex mechanical and electro-mechanical design solutions for medical device subsystems.

+ Perform advanced engineering analysis to validate design intent and robustness.

+ Produce and approve detailed CAD drawings using GD&T and engineering best practices.

+ Drive engineering changes through PLM workflows and cross-functional collaboration.

+ Lead troubleshooting and root-cause investigations for complex design issues.

What’s Needed?

+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred).

+ 8–10+ years of experience in product design within FDA-regulated environments.

+ High proficiency with 3D CAD (preferably NX) and GD&T.

+ Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes: machining, sheet metal, castings, and plastic injection molding.

+ Experience with FMEA/DFMA, motion technologies, and simulation tools (FEA/CFD).
