    Position: MIG and Flux Core Welder

     

    Overview

     

    We’re seeking a skilled welder to join our high-performance fabrication team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for welding plates to beams and columns that form the backbone of major structural projects nationwide. You’ll work with MIG and Flux Core techniques on components such as rails and stair systems, contributing to the integrity and safety of large-scale builds.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Weld structural steel plates to beams and columns using MIG and Flux Core methods

    + Fabricate and weld components including rails and stairs to exact specifications

    + Maintain consistent weld quality that meets rigorous structural standards

    + Interpret welding blueprints and symbols to execute precise fabrication tasks

    Required Skills & Experience

    + Minimum 1 year of experience in MIG and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)

    + Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and symbols

    + Proficient in using tape measures and hand tools with accuracy

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Previous experience in structural welding or completion of relevant technical training

    + Solid understanding of welding fabrication processes and safety protocols

    Work Environment

     

    Our shop operates like a steel mill, handling large structural beams and components. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday from 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 49 hours per week. The weekend shift runs Friday through Sunday 5am-5pm plus OT. The facility is engineered for efficiency and accuracy, supporting both structural and miscellaneous steel projects.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerset, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
