Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery. You will be responsible for performing preventive and proactive maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns, utilizing your skills in root-cause analysis to investigate issues and collaborating with other departments for solutions.
Responsibilities
+ Effectively complete preventive and proactive maintenance per the schedule to prevent breakdowns on equipment.
+ Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages while collaborating with other departments.
+ Act as the initial responder when a line stops producing and ensure that the appropriate mechanical help is on site promptly.
+ Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems.
+ Complete all required paperwork and documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
+ Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
+ Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters or other testing devices.
+ Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
+ Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
+ Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.
+ Support the facility’s food safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired results.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with conveyors, VFD, PLC troubleshooting, industrial electrical troubleshooting, maintenance repair, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
+ Food and beverage experience is required.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
+ Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred experience with bearings, conveyors, wiring motors 3 phase 480 volts, PMs, rebuilds, and PLC.
+ Knowledge of GMPs.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
+ Need own tools.

Work Environment
Work with bottling machines, filling machines, labeling machines, carton making machines, palletizer, conveyors, and PLCs. The position operates on a 223 schedule with hours from 6am to 6:30pm, requiring standing, walking, kneeling, and bending.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WILSON, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
