Job Title: Maintenance Technician III

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician III performs a variety of tasks related to HVAC systems, Building Automation Systems, fleet vehicle operations, installations, and repair projects. This role includes managing inventory, planning, supervising, and assisting with daily maintenance operations for mechanical, automotive fleet, and electrical systems. The technician coordinates project work with outside contractors and vendors, assists with daily work assignments, and ensures compliance with safety training and occupational standards.

Responsibilities

+ Perform complex installation and repair tasks for HVAC systems and Building Automation Systems.

+ Maintain inventory of supplies and materials necessary for maintenance operations.

+ Plan, supervise, and assist daily maintenance operations related to mechanical, automotive fleet, and electrical systems.

+ Coordinate project work with outside contractors and vendors.

+ Assist in coordinating daily work assignments with the Mechanical Services Lead.

+ Complete and comply with initial and annual regulatory compliance and safety training.

+ Report hazards, unsafe work practices, and accidents immediately to the supervisor.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ High school education plus five years of relevant technical training and field experience.

+ State of Maine Boiler Operator’s license, plumbing license, and/or fuel oil and gas technician license.

+ State of Maine Inspection and ASE licensing for automotive.

+ Broad technical knowledge and skills in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair, as well as general plumbing and electrical systems.

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities including crouching, kneeling, stooping, reaching, balancing, crawling, and climbing ladders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Knowledge of industrial maintenance repair.

Work Environment

The position is primarily a Monday through Friday first shift job, with occasional evening and weekend work for winter storms and participation in an on-call rotation. You will work at the Biddeford campus alongside a team of maintenance technicians, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled professionals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Biddeford, ME.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
