    Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Material Handler/Forklift Operator to efficiently run equipment in our fabrication and assembly areas, providing essential support by feeding raw materials to welders, machinists, and other team members. The primary equipment operated will be sit-down forklifts, with occasional use of other machinery, including overhead cranes.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate sit-down forklifts primarily and other equipment as needed.

    + Feed raw materials to welders, machinists, and other assembly areas.

    + Run overhead cranes when required.

    + Transport parts to the appropriate locations inside the plant.

    + Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, adjusting to varying weather conditions.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 6 months of forklift experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

    + Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.

    + Experience in a manufacturing setting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + No high school diploma or GED is required.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is both indoor and outdoor, requiring operation of lift equipment over rough terrain. Safety is a priority, with metatarsal steel toes, safety glasses, and hearing protection provided. The atmosphere can be musky and dirty, with concrete floors and standing required for extended periods. Typical attire includes jeans and a t-shirt or sweatshirt, with no shorts or sweatpants allowed. The role is deadline-intensive, with significant overtime opportunities.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shady Grove, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
