    Job Title: Solar Field Operations Manager** **Job Description

     

    This pivotal leadership role is responsible for overseeing field operations, managing crews, enhancing training programs, and ensuring the successful execution of commercial construction projects. This position entails site visits, planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of fieldwork while upholding an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

    Responsibilities

    + Visit job sites across California to complete audits and training.

    + Provide direction to foremen and assist in running crews.

    + Maintain safe job sites and ensure crews adhere to safety training.

    + Conduct training and development for technicians.

    + Manage quality control on site.

    + Communicate and coordinate with superintendents and other trades in the field.

    + Build unity and motivation among crews.

    + Maintain project schedules and budgets.

    + Review weekly technician timesheets and schedule timesheet audits.

    + Accurately produce and submit As-Builts, RFIs & RFI Logs, Field status reports, and Safety Incident Reports.

    + Participate in performance reviews and disciplinary meetings.

    + Serve as a liaison between office and field staff, attending field and office meetings.

    + Resolve problems related to plans or specifications and ensure all parties are aware of corrections, changes, and requests.

    + Identify and address scope changes or potential risks, communicate with the Project Manager for proper documentation and approvals.

    + Assist the Project Manager in formulating and maintaining the construction schedule.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with commercial solar projects.

    + Rooftop experience.

    + Willingness to travel extensively across central and northern California.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously.

    + Proficiency in safety protocols, including OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + CERT on equipment is a plus.

    + Electrical certifications are advantageous.

    Work Environment

    This role involves 60% fieldwork with the remainder administrative tasks, including the flexibility to work from home when not in the field. A company truck and credit card are provided, eliminating the need for reimbursement submissions. The position requires travel within California and offers coverage for hotels, meals, travel, and gas. The workweek is Monday to Friday, with 8-10 hour days.

    The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
