    Swiss CNC Lathe Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Swiss CNC Lathe Machinist with hands-on experience in operating and maintaining CNC lathe equipment to produce high-precision components. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading blueprints and specifications, working with metals and plastics, and consistently delivering parts that meet tight tolerances. This role requires technical aptitude, quick learning, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Setup and run Swiss CNC Screw machines to maintain high-quality, tight tolerance machined parts.

    + Monitor multiple Swiss CNC machines during production.

    + Document actions by completing production and quality logs.

    + Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to maintain safe operations.

    + Complete preventive maintenance requirements following manufacturer's guidelines.

    + Provide feedback and suggestions to management for continuous improvement.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in reading, editing, and changing NC code (G&M code).

    + Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.

    + Good mechanical skills and inclination.

    + Punctuality, positive mindset, and ability to work well with others.

    + Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

    + Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

    + Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment.

    + Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

    + 2+ years technical degree or apprenticeship certificate or equivalent work experience.

    + Minimum 5 years' experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with ISO-9001 and AS-9100 certification environments is a plus.

    + Strong leadership potential is highly desirable.

    + Familiarity with software systems such as Exact Job Boss, Unipoint, and GAL6.

    Work Environment

     

    Work hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A negotiable relocation package is available within a 100-mile radius from Olympia, WA.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Olympia, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
