    Job Title:** **Forklift Operator

    **Location:** Eldridge, IA

    **Pay:** $17.00/hr

    **Shift:** 2nd Shift – 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

    **Training:** 1st Shift for 1–2 weeks (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)

    Job Description

    We are seeking a **Forklift Operator** to join our team at a large, climate-controlled distribution center. This role involves **picking, packing, and building pallets** of canned and dry goods for shipment to grocery stores and retailers. You will operate a **stand-up forklift** and use an RF unit and headset system to receive instructions on what to pick and where to go.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate a stand-up forklift to pick and pack products.

    + Build pallets according to client orders.

    + Navigate the warehouse efficiently using RF technology and headset instructions.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Meet performance metrics, starting at 50% during training and progressing to 80% by permanent hire.

    Requirements

    + **Steel-toed shoes required.**

    + **Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per day.**

    + **Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.**

    + **6+ months of forklift experience** OR **1+ year in a fast-paced warehouse environment.**

    + **Willingness to complete extensive training on forklift operation.**

    Performance Expectations

    + Training period: 1–2 weeks on 1st shift.

    + Fully trained by the 4th month.

    + Performance measured weekly with increasing expectations.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
