**Summary:** The Pharmacy Department processes $500+ million dollars a year in purchases and maintains an average monthly inventory on hand exceeding $10 million dollars. The Coordinator of Supply Chain will be primarily responsible for coordinating supply chain operations for assigned health system pharmacy locations. This includes partnering with pharmacy/hospital personnel, pharmacy leadership, or designees to maintain the purchasing, distribution, and 340B management of medications, therapies, and supplies. (Full Time - Day Shift - HUP Interventional Support Center - 3250 South 76th Street - Central Fill Specialty Pharmacy)
Responsibilities:
+ The Supply Chain coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of pharmacy supply chain, including managing relationships with pharmaceutical vendors, 340B stakeholders, and specialty accounts to ensure compliance, resource efficiency, and maximize profitability.
+ The Coordinator of Supply Chain will support process improvements and strategic initiatives related to inventory optimization across assigned Penn Medicine pharmacy areas.
+ The Coordinator of Supply Chain will partner with the Pharmacy Department to monitor 340b eligibility, utilization, and replenishment orders to maximize profitability for the pharmacy. They will also assist in all monthly & annual inventories.
+ The Coordinator of Supply Chain can assist in coordination of patient assistance programs for patients in need of reducing the high cost of medications as applicable.
+ Optimize and maintain Inventory: Adjust Periodic Automatic Replacement (PAR) levels utilizing manual and automated inventory systems to minimize out of stocks
+ Maintain relationship with Penn Medicine contracted vendors for new product introduction and lifecycle management of pharmacy inventory not limited to specialty medications, cell/gene therapies, etc.
+ Ensure 340B compliance while maximizing financial savings and profitability
+ Responsible to coordinate annual and end of month inventory reviews
+ Coordinate copay and financial assistance for Penn Medicine pharmacy patients.
+ Communicate and coordinate the completion of supply chain activities to achieve daily operational objectives
+ Develop, support and adhere to SOPs while striving for process improvement
+ Reconcile borrow/loan log, receipts, and other documentation requiring follow-up. Lead and support ad-hoc projects as related to Supply Chain
Credentials:
+ CPhT- Certified Pharmacy Tech (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
+ 7+ years Pharmacy Services is required.
+ 3+ years Inventory Management and/or Pharmacy Purchasing is preferred.
