    Company description

We’re an agency looking to defy the status quo.

We’re in the business of making your business better. And it’s our mission to give our partners the most compelling advertising experience possible.

While everyone else is concerned about the best practices of yesterday, we are discovering and defining innovative solutions for tomorrow. We do that by moving fast, breaking rules, rebuilding systems, generating solutions and taking performance to its limits -- then pushing it even farther.

We’re here to be the arbiters of change. To rock the boat. To upset the apple cart. To cause a disturbance in the force.

    We’re here to Dysrupt.

    Overview

Dysrupt is looking for an **Associate Director, Strategy** who’s ready to blend performance marketing depth with audience and regional strategy. You’ll bring strategic rigor to a portfolio of clients, shape paid media direction from brief through activation, and serve as a trusted advisor who can translate business questions into sharp, platform-ready strategies.

If you love the mechanics of biddable media but get equally energized by bigger-picture thinking, audience design, regional nuance, exploratory insights, bold ideas -you’ll fit in here.

    Why Dysrupt?

We’re not just a performance shop. We pair media craft with strategy, culture, and curiosity. You’ll join a team that experiments boldly, pushes boundaries, and keeps evolving. And we want people who bring their whole selves to the work.

Before we go further, ask yourself:

+ Do you geek out over how platforms optimize in the algo but also know when a broader approach is needed?

+ Do you enjoy uncovering audience behaviors, regional patterns, and the “why” behind performance?

+ Do you get excited about new dysruptive strategies and ideas that challenge the status quo? (see what we did there 😀)

+ Do you have passions outside of work you’re excited to bring into our culture?

    Responsibilities

+ Lead paid media strategy for a cross-vertical set of clients, shaping audience frameworks, regional approaches, and integrated media direction that align with client goals.

+ Build media plans grounded in platform mechanics, historical insights, research, and broader business context.

+ Own audience strategy developing personas, behavioral and intent signals, segmentation frameworks, and audience sizing that inform planning and channel direction.

+ Provide strategic guidance on campaign structure and platform approach to set teams up for success, without owning hands-on optimization.

+ Translate performance data, audience insights, and competitive learnings into clear narratives that influence client decisions.

+ Partner closely with Creative, Analytics, and Client Leads to ensure your strategies ladder up to broader campaign objectives.

+ Oversee campaign execution at a strategic level, ensuring QA, pacing, and reporting accuracy through team collaboration.

+ Develop testing roadmaps with both performance and strategic learning goals, pushing clients toward smarter experimentation.

+ Stay ahead of platform changes, market shifts, cultural trends, and competitive activity, bringing fresh POVs to clients and internal teams.

+ Identify upsell and expansion opportunities and sell through strategic recommendations that drive account growth.

+ Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on research tools, planning approaches, brief writing, and performance best practices.

+ Support process improvements, contribute to cross-functional alignment, and help evolve how Dysrupt approaches paid media strategy.

+ Represent your accounts in client meetings, helping clients understand not just _what_ is happening, but _why_ it matters and _what to do next_ .

    Qualifications

+ 5–6 years in performance marketing, media planning, or digital strategy across platforms like Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and emerging channels.

+ Strong understanding of how biddable platforms optimize—and how audience, creative, budget, and regional strategy impact performance.

+ Experience developing paid media plans, audience targeting strategies, or cross-channel approaches.

+ Ability to interpret large datasets and use insights to steer client conversations.

+ Clear, confident communicator who can simplify complexity and build client trust.

+ Proven experience managing multiple accounts with speed, accuracy, and strategic clarity.

+ Highly proactive and solutions-oriented, with strong organizational skills.

+ Comfort collaborating with creative teams or supporting creative strategy.
