*Position Description* We’re currently seeking a*per diem*Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our acute care team at Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT. Minimum requirement is 2 weekend days a month and 1 holiday a year. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) independently evaluates patient’s level of function and determines, develops, and implements individualized treatment goals and plans in alignment with the patient/caregiver goals. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) determines treatment strategies and delivers Speech Language Therapy services that identify, restore, and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing to maximize a patient’s safety and independence. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and application of speech therapy to maximize the patient's functional independence. *Who We Are:* Work where every moment matters. These standards allow us to bring out the very best in our clients and our staff. *Education Requirements* * M.A. or M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology. * Current State of CT Department of Health Services license as a Speech Therapist. * Certificate of Clinical Competence. * Modified Barium Swallow study experience or FEES experience preferred but not required * Minimum requirement is 2 weekend days a month and 1 holiday a year.
