What you can expect at your practice:

+ Join our team as a Certified Nurse Midwife - open to both new graduates and experienced professionals

+ Enjoy a flexible schedule that combines 24-hour call shifts at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital with outpatient practice hours, with some weeks spent working 40 hours in the office, Monday-Friday

+ Provide individualized, full-scope midwifery care to women across their lifespan, focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, and reproductive health

+ Work autonomously with the support of physician partners to care for OB/GYN patients

+ Deliver babies as part of a busy practice, averaging 24-27 deliveries per month, with physician backup available for C-sections and high-risk cases

+ Manage low-risk deliveries, with the opportunity to deliver 100% of babies unless C-sections or high-risk cases are involved, and with physician support always available.

Established in 1800, Adams County includes the borough of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Home to more than 100,000 residents, the town is a mecca for Civil War history buffs and visitors who come to tour the Gettysburg National Battlefield and Gettysburg National Military Park and see the annual Civil War reenactment.

Also located here is Gettysburg College, which has a strong academic reputation in liberal arts. The county is steeped in heritage, and offers a peaceful, country atmosphere, yet is a convenient drive to Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD and Harrisburg, PA.
