    **Wage:** $25.00/HR

    Available Shifts:

    + Mon - Fri: 7AM - 3PM

    + Mon - Fri: 7:30AM - 3:30PM

     

    Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The **Armed Security Officer** position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.

     

    Prior experience in armed security, military, or law enforcement preferred. At a minimum, must be able to speak to gun safety and responsibilities as well as successfully complete assessments and shooting qualification.

    What Your Day May Look Like:

    + Patrols assigned site on foot or in a vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.

    + Responding to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force is required.

    + Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community.

    + Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.

    + Security screening all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities.

    + Monitors surveillance cameras.

    Position Requirements:

    + 21 years of age or older.

    + High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.

    + Standard computer / technology skills needed - The ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone.

    + Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus!!

    + Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.

    + Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.

    + Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.

    + All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

    + Must have prior experience in an armed role - (security, military, or law enforcement).

    + Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification.

    + Must have a reliable personal vehicle.

    + Must have the legal right to work in the United States.

    + Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

    + Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular)

    + Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic

    + Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication

    + Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner

    + Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift

    + Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.

    + Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.
