    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

    A Human Resources Intern will support several disciplines such as recruiting, compensation, employee benefits and employee relations. We’re looking for someone who can develop core human resource skills that can be applied across the organization. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to take the skills you have acquired in school and apply them in a professional setting.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Learn and assist with recruitment efforts including sourcing candidates using the HRIS platform as well as external sources like Indeed, LinkedIn and others.

    + Support record-keeping function, including creation and maintaining of personnel files.

    + Assist with HRIS and compensation-related projects.

    + Research diversity, veteran and operations technician recruiting channels not currently being used.

    + Assist in employee events and job fairs (i.e., company picnic).

    + Provide front desk coverage when needed.

    + Take on ad-hoc projects and assignments as needed.

    + Performs other related duties as assigned.

    + Maintain awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives. Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    High school diploma or equivalent.

     

    Pursuing or has obtained a degree in Human Resources Management or related field.

     

    Strong communication skills; oral and written.

     

    Self-starter and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

     

    Technologically adept and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.

     

    Exceptional analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

     

    Extremely detailed and accuracy oriented.
