The Emerging Markets Rates Trader provides timely and accurate dealing services for clients in the assigned area, manages the firm's inventory and trading risk under supervision and as assigned in compliance with all applicable regulation within a given business area.
As our Emerging Markets Rates Trader you will:
+ Maintain various risk positions and manage within position limits, providing liquidity and trade ideas to clients while trading within set limits to help the trading team achieve a given revenue target
+ Ensure correct ticket entry and order routing, maintain communication with sales desk and assist in resolving any settlement problems, ensure ticket entry completion and provide general trading activity support, as necessary
+ Provide consistent pricing and market making to sales force and target clients
+ Monitor daily electronic trading activity and determine where certain trades should be routed for execution, review all activity for accuracy of account information
+ Execute firm and customers' trades in accordance with desk Volcker designation and may contribute to the formulation of trading strategies
+ Ensure all trades are booked to front office position keeping system on the day they are executed
+ Reconcile daily and/or monthly reports, as assigned
You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
+ Strong quantitative academic background (Engineering, Math, Physics, Statistics)
+ Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
+ Pragmatic, proactive, and possess an entrepreneurial mindset
+ Ability to tackle quantitative problems with detail-oriented mindset
+ Knowledge of computer programming applied to problem solving and data management
+ Interest in financial derivatives and its various applications

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
