    Job Title: Crane Mechanic** **Job Description

     

    Join our team as a Crane Mechanic, where you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and performing preventative maintenance on cranes. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and utilize your problem-solving skills in a laid-back shop environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Build and perform maintenance on cranes.

    + Perform preventative maintenance on cranes.

    + Attach cranes to trucks for transportation.

    + Weld as needed and work with hand tools.

    + Conduct electrical work with 12 and 24 volt DC current.

    + Troubleshoot and operate cranes for repair.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of maintenance experience on trucks or heavy equipment.

    + 3+ years of experience with hydraulics.

    + Experience with basic hand tools.

    + Mechanical inclination.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical inclination.

    + People skills and basic computer skills.

    + Experience working on a farm is a plus.

    + DC Electrical experience, 12 and 24 volt.

    + Experience as a crane mechanic is a plus, but not required.

    + Welding experience is a plus (MIG Welding).

    + Must have a driver's license.

    Work Environment

    Work in a full-service mobile equipment workshop that specializes in crane sales, rentals, and service. The role is first shift, Monday to Friday, from 7am to 5pm, with potential for overtime. You will work alongside six other mechanics in a clean shop environment, which may be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The position offers the possibility of becoming a permanent team member after an initial 6-month period.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manheim, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
