    Job Title: Plating Technician

    Job Description

    As a Plating Technician, you will perform plating work using appropriate equipment and solutions. You will adhere to specifications detailed in customer purchase orders, assist with accurate cost preparation for quotes, and resolve customer technical questions. Additionally, you will design and make tooling and fixtures for efficient plating, maintain equipment, ensure a clean and safe work area, and follow company policies and procedures. You will also establish and maintain positive relations with customers and travel as needed to meet delivery expectations.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform plating work using appropriate equipment and solutions.

    + Adhere to all specifications detailed in customer purchase orders.

    + Assist Contract Service Manager in preparing accurate costs for quotes.

    + Resolve customer technical questions with Inside Sales.

    + Design and make tooling and fixtures for efficient plating.

    + Maintain equipment in working order and identify items needing maintenance and repair.

    + Maintain a safe and clean work area.

    + Follow company policies, department procedures, and job-specific work instructions.

    + Establish and maintain positive and professional customer relations.

    + Travel as required to meet customer delivery expectations.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical skills.

    + Comfortable working with hands.

    + Ability to read a tape measure.

    + Experience working in a warehouse and packaging products.

    + Comfortable working around small chemicals.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Production experience.

    + Plating and assembly knowledge.

    + General production skills.

    + Proficiency in using hand tools.

    + Soldering skills.

    + Ability to pass a drug screen

     

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a small shop environment with working hours from 7 am to 3:30 pm. The setting requires interaction with small chemicals and the use of hand tools. Employees are expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Windsor, CT.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
