Skilled Machine Operator – Metal Fabrication & Welding

About the Role

**We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator** to join our metal fabrication team. This position involves operating **slitter, lathe, and milling machines** to produce precision metal components. You will also assist with welding and fabrication tasks to ensure high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities

+ Operate slitter, lathe, and milling machines to cut, shape, and finish metal parts.

+ Set up machines, adjust tooling, and monitor production for accuracy and efficiency.

+ Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.

+ Assist with welding and metal fabrication as needed.

+ Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety standards.

Qualifications

+ **Experience:** Minimum 1–2 years operating slitter, lathe, or milling machines.

+ Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and welding techniques.

+ Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

+ Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.26 - $30.26/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
