    Job Title: MIG Welder** **Job Description

     

    Join our team in building and installing dust collection and ventilation systems. You will be performing MIG welding on custom parts, focusing on thin gauge material for heavy manufacturing companies. Experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, and thin gauge materials is essential. You will also assist fabricators and operate various sheet metal fabrication equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform MIG welding on thin gauge materials, including stainless and carbon steel.

    + Read and interpret blueprints to perform layout, tacking, and welding seams.

    + Assist fabricators using shears, press brakes, grinders, rollers, saws, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.

    + Work with personalized 16 to 14 gauge sheet metal and duct work.

    + Demonstrate strong tape measure abilities and some blueprint experience.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 2 or more years of custom environment welding experience.

    + Proficiency in thin gauge metal fabricating.

    + Ability to read blueprints.

    + Experience with MIG welding, press operators, plasma cutters, drills, saws, and metal fabricating.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Solid welding experience.

    + Prior MIG welding ability.

    + Able to read blueprints and use a tape measure.

    + Open to candidates with limited experience but with 1-2 years of welding training.

    Work Environment

    You will be working in a metal shop environment with typical welding and fabricating noise and smell. This job shop setting focuses on creating 'one-off' products, requiring adaptability to diverse needs and product requirements. Enjoy a nice, new shop with a good working atmosphere. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts from 5am to 2:30pm, extending to 4:30/5:30pm for overtime as needed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
