    Minimum Requirements:

    NYS Certification as a School Social Worker

    Desired Qualifications:

    Required:

    NYS Certification as a School Social Worker

    Desired:

    - Licensed or working towards obtaining licensure as LMSW or LCSW

     

    - Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university

     

    - TIG training

     

    - TCIS certification

     

    - Strong interpersonal and communication skills

     

    - Ability to use data to inform program decisions and demonstrate effectiveness

    Position Summary/Responsibilities:

    - Develop and implement innovative strategies to support the building with attendance needs.

     

    - Provide families with outreach to assess and complete necessary referrals.

     

    - Deliver case management support to families and facilitate multidisciplinary team meetings.

     

    - Work collaboratively with school district staff and administration to meet the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.

     

    - Provide school-based counseling and implement small group lessons to support student growth.

     

    - Serve as a representative for the Committee on Special Education (CSE).

     

    - Develop, implement, and progress monitor student individualized education program goals.

     

    - Provide crisis support for behavioral and emotional needs, as needed

     

    - Participate in RTI meetings to problem-solve and review student progress.

     

    - All other duties as assigned.
