Job Title: Production Technician** **Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hard-working Production Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various harvest activities such as preparation, sorting, drying, packaging, and palletizing. You will also be involved in return and rework activities, including inspecting bags of product for quality issues, pallets and boxes for damage, and re-stacking, wrapping, and packing outgoing products.

Responsibilities

+ Engage in various harvest activities including preparation, sorting, drying, packaging, and palletizing.

+ Conduct return and rework activities such as inspecting bags for quality issues and checking pallets and boxes for damage.

+ Re-stack, wrap, and pack outgoing products.

+ Operate forklifts and other machinery after receiving proper training.

+ Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, and washing equipment and harvest boxes.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in packaging, production, or farming is preferred.

+ Ability to work flexible shifts including 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts as per team assignment.

+ Comfortable working indoors or outdoors regardless of weather conditions.

+ Ability to work in various capacities such as sorting, drying, machine operation, quality control, bagging/re-bagging, and palletizing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in warehouse operations and forklift operation is advantageous.

+ Candidates must wear steel or composite toe shoes at all times.

+ Willingness to work overtime, particularly from July to October.

Work Environment

The worksite is located in Tipton, IN and includes multiple non-temperature controlled warehouses and some outdoor work. The role is physically demanding and requires wearing PPE including hard hats, safety vests, work gloves, and hearing protection which are provided at the worksite. During peak season, flexible shifts and occasional overtime may be required. Shift structures may vary during the harvest season, with a combination of long and short shifts. Employees should be open to working various shifts and expect overtime.

This is a Contract position based out of Tipton, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr.
