Job Title: Systems Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design, development, and presentation of complex integrated physical systems. This role focuses on electromechanical systems and sensor design that operate in challenging environments, requiring a blend of engineering expertise and project management skills.
Responsibilities
+ Develop, design, and present complex integrated physical systems, including mechanical, electrical, and communications systems.
+ Collaborate with a team of engineers to design, analyze, develop, test, and debug components and systems.
+ Manage development schedules, labor estimates, critical deliverables, system requirements, and monthly progress reports.
+ Research and implement military standards for subsystem interfaces and participate in advanced government test events.
+ Attend multidisciplinary meetings to develop key performance requirements for subsystems and translate complex information into concise metrics.
+ Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system design specifications, integration plans, and testing procedures.
+ Design and develop integrated systems that meet military specifications and create detailed system architectures.
+ Maintain and report on project schedules, risks, spending, and purchases.
+ Develop and collaborate on the integration of various subsystems, including hardware, electrical signals, and software components.
+ Ensure systems and subsystems comply with relevant military standards and regulations.
+ Engage with military clients to understand their needs and provide technical support during deployment and operational phases.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, systems, or related field)
+ Minimum of 7 years’ experience working on military systems
+ Extensive experience with systems architecture development, documentation, and assessment
+ Highly motivated and able to work effectively in a small, dynamic team
Work Environment
Work in a small engineering environment located in Fulton, MD, with an onsite lab for testing and prototyping. The position is onsite Monday-Friday with flexible start times, offering a unique opportunity to support complex projects as a systems integrator for counter UAV technology.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fulton, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
