    Job Description

    This position functions as a Medical Assistant within the department, responsible for patient check-in and check-out as well as scheduling appointments.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.

    + Schedule appointments and manage patient records.

    + Ensure accurate documentation in electronic medical records.

    + Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and support staff.

    + Demonstrate strong organizational and telephone skills.

    Essential Skills

    + Certification as a CCMA or RMA through an approved organization such as the NHA.

    + Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

    + Two years or more of experience as a Medical Assistant.

    + Experience with electronic medical records.

    + Interactive communication skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Strong interpersonal skills.

    + Organizational skills.

    + Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

    + Understanding of medical terminology.

    Work Environment

    The position operates within a primary care setting with 8 providers. The schedule is Monday to Friday from either 7:30 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Employees are cross-trained on both front and back office duties.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
