Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Description
The Process Engineer will lead process optimization projects, drive defect reduction, and support scaling and documentation of critical process steps. This role requires deep expertise in electropolishing and electroplating, including strong command of the underlying physics and chemistry as well as hands-on equipment understanding of related process tools.
Responsibilities
+ Lead development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
+ Design and execute experiments to optimize process capability and control.
+ Troubleshoot complex issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
+ Serve as the in-house subject matter expert for electropolishing and electroplating, guiding process design, parameter control, and equipment selection.
+ Ensure process documentation meets quality and regulatory standards.
+ Review and update control plans and process failure mode effects analyses.
+ Develop and maintain documentation specific to electrochemical finishing processes implementation.
Essential Skills
+ 7+ years of experience as a Process Engineer in equipment or manufacturing engineering.
+ Hands-on experience with electropolishing and electroplating processes.
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
+ Strong knowledge of process improvement and process engineering.
+ Understanding of continuous improvement and manufacturing processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Familiarity with kaizen and statistical analysis.
+ Nice to have experience with automation tools, semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor components, and semiconductor equipment.
Work Environment
This position involves sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen for extended periods while performing office tasks. Movement around the office, including occasional standing, walking, and bending to retrieve documents, attend meetings, or use office equipment, is required. Light lifting may be required, up to 20 lbs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
