    Job Title: Structural EngineerJob Description

     

    The structural engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects, ranging from building structures to marine-related projects. The candidate will be tasked with full design, analysis, and guidance to ensure successful project completion.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform structural design and analysis.

    + Prepare detailed reports and conduct condition assessments.

    + Prepare construction plans and specifications.

    + Mentor engineers and designers.

    + Lead the technical development program for the department.

    + Lead and coordinate the Revit development program for the department.

    + Communicate with department staff and manage workload effectively.

    + Coordinate between the structural department and other disciplines.

    + Support proposal preparation by assisting with the development of the scope of work, schedule, and budget.

    + Work on multiple projects simultaneously.

    + Assist with the preparation of cost opinions.

    + Prepare and review drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

    + Manage the technical quality control review process within the department.

    + Perform fieldwork for condition assessments on various structures.

    + Conduct construction administration and oversight, including reviewing submittals, responding to contractor questions, and visiting job sites.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in structural engineering and holding a Structural Engineering PE license.

    + Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.

    + Strong background in structural design and drafting.

    + Expertise in structural analysis, concrete, and structural steel.

    + Familiarity with Risa 3D and CAD software.

    + Ability to prepare construction documents and perform detailed modeling.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in civil engineering and construction.

    + Knowledge of joist and steel structure design.

    + Experience in managing and mentoring a team.

    + Ability to lead technical and Revit development programs.

    Work Environment

    The role is based in an office setting on-site, working closely with a small team of 8 individuals. This senior position offers opportunities for growth in line with the company's expansion and the structural team's development.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Myrtle Beach, SC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

     

    Full range of benefits from 401k, two annual bonuses, and full medical coverage fully paid for by company for employee and dependents.

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Myrtle Beach,SC.
