The project architect will collaborate closely with the principals to guide project teams from concept through construction, primarily focusing on academic projects with some cultural engagements. This role involves engaging with clients and leading the design process while contributing to the firm's creative culture.
Responsibilities
+ Participate in design dialogue contributing to firmwide creative culture.
+ Lead design and documentation for multiple projects.
+ Mentor and support junior team members.
+ Manage consultant coordination and project schedules.
+ Oversee construction administration and technical detailing.
Essential Skills
+ 8+ years of professional experience through all project phases.
+ Exceptional design, technical, and communication skills.
+ Experience in higher education projects.
+ Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite.
+ 3D modeling/rendering experience with Rhino, V-Ray, and Enscape.
+ Registered architect with active licensure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Professional degree in architecture.
+ Highly organized and detail-oriented team player.
+ Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to carry out design concepts to realization.
+ Experience interfacing with consultant partners.
Work Environment
The work environment is an open space concept with a studio vibe, featuring music and a disco ball. It is very open and collaborative, where you can easily approach anyone if you need assistance. You will sit in an open studio alongside the founders and principals. The role requires being in the office five days a week, with flexible start and end times between 8-9 AM and 5-6 PM. Laptops are not brought home.

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
