Job Title: Construction Quality Control ManagerJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee the management of construction quality control for a specific project. This position will act as the primary liaison between our project team and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
+ Manage all aspects of construction quality control for the project.
+ Serve as the primary liaison between the project team and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
+ Be onsite at all times during construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
+ Communicate regularly with project managers and site managers to keep all parties informed of project status and quality issues.
+ Develop and implement quality control plans.
Essential Skills
+ Prior experience working on Bechtel projects or with Bechtel clients.
+ Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
+ Familiarity with Bechtel standards, procedures, and quality management systems or equivalent EPC experience.
+ Experience in dredging, excavation, bridge, levy, and marine construction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification, held for at least five years.
+ Minimum of five years’ experience as a Quality Control Manager.
+ Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Physical capability to perform onsite inspections and fieldwork as required.
Work Environment
This role is based in Lake Charles, LA, and involves a collaborative mid-sized team. The position follows a business casual dress code with PPE required onsite. The work schedule consists of 14 days on and 7 days off.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
