Job Title: Microbiologist
Job Description
This position is based in a cGMP compliant QC Microbiology Laboratory and focuses on supporting the manufacture of biological products. The role involves performing microbiological testing and analysis to ensure product quality and adherence to regulatory standards, including sample preparation, media preparation, and data analysis, while maintaining a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
+ Perform microbiological tests such as bioburden, endotoxin, microbial limits/growth, and other USP compendia methods.
+ Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
+ Prepare media and reagents as required for testing procedures.
+ Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) meticulously.
+ Document test results accurately and comprehensively.
+ Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols.
+ Collaborate effectively with other scientists and quality control personnel.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Biology preferred).
+ Proficiency in aseptic techniques.
+ 6 months to 1 year of GMP Micro experience (not necessarily in pharmaceuticals).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with USP compendia from pharmaceutical environments.
+ Knowledge of environmental monitoring.
+ Familiarity with microbial taxonomy and identification.
+ Hands-on experience with laboratory documentation and reports.
Work Environment
The initial training period lasts for 2 months, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4:30pm. Gowning may be required at certain points. Once trained, the position transitions to Wednesday-Saturday with 4-10 hour shifts from 7am to 5pm, offering flexibility if needed. A 12.5% differential is applied for specified shifts.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $31.00/hr.
