• Sales Engineer

    Actalent (Monee, IL)


    Responsibilities

    + Manage customer requests via phone, email, and Web Shop, ensuring accuracy in handling.

    + Verify customer information and conduct parts research using SAP, equipment PDFs, and email correspondence with pictures to ensure correct orders.

    + Validate information and create quotes to share with customers.

    + Collect purchase orders (POs) and communicate order details and shipping expectations to customers.

    + Update internal systems (MRP/CRM/SAP) with accurate lead times.

    + Report suggestions, customer feedback, and operational issues to the Commercial Team Lead.

    + Proactively upsell and cross-sell relevant products based on customer interests and buying behavior.

    + Maintain and update accurate part details, including part numbers, descriptions, specifications, and vendor information.

    + Update pricing and part details such as part numbers and descriptions.

    + Perform additional tasks related to troubleshooting, service, design, electrical, field service, mechanical, engineering, customer service, technical sales, and sales engineering.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to read schematics.

    + Experience in working with equipment, both electrically and mechanically.

    + Experience in phone and email customer service tied into hands-on engineering.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monee, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
