As a **Security Officer - Gate Access** in **Torrance, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for everyone on site. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

+ Monitor access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the chemical or petrochemical location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the site.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential risks and observe for unusual activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

+ Document and report any incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.

+ Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as required for security-related matters.

+ Maintain awareness of site-specific hazards and procedures related to chemical or petrochemical operations.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
