Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. This is a Contract position ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial management and compliance. The role involves overseeing accounting operations, ensuring adherence to technical standards, and leading critical financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

• Lead month-end closing procedures to deliver accurate and timely financial statements.

• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

• Oversee technical accounting processes in line with GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS standards.

• Coordinate and support annual external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.

• Manage and mentor a local team, fostering growth and accountability.

• Develop and maintain robust financial controls and reporting systems.

• Review and analyze complex accounting data to provide valuable insights to stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures while driving operational efficiency. Requirements • A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management.

• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS accounting standards.

• Proven expertise in managing month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.

• CPA certification is required to ensure technical proficiency.

• Strong background in handling annual external audits and regulatory compliance.

• Experience in managing accounting operations across multi-entity organizations.

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and implement internal controls effectively.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills to present complex financial data.
