Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Houston, Texas. This role requires strong organizational skills and proficiency in managing financial transactions with accuracy. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth operations within the accounts payable department.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments.

• Perform regular check runs to ensure vendors are paid on time.

• Verify and reconcile accounts payable records to maintain accuracy.

• Organize and file financial documents and invoices in compliance with company standards.

• Utilize Excel and other software tools to track and analyze payment data.

• Assist with resolving discrepancies in invoices or payment records.

• Collaborate with team members to improve accounts payable processes.

• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company data.

• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Familiarity with invoice coding and processing procedures.

• Ability to perform check runs and maintain organized financial records.

• Excellent problem-solving skills to address discrepancies.

• Effective communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
