Description We are looking for an Entry-Level Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Ontario, California. In this role, you will handle critical daily accounting tasks to ensure smooth operations and support the staff accountant with high-priority projects. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts receivable transactions, including billing 10–20 items daily.

• Oversee accounts payable tasks, managing vendor invoices with varying volumes ranging from 10 to 30 invoices.

• Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.

• Utilize Excel and QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) to execute advanced accounting functions, including pivot tables and data analysis.

• Act as a self-starter, taking initiative and working independently with minimal supervision.

• Support potential system transitions, such as assisting with the conversion to Epicor software.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting duties.

• Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Provide occasional oversight of accounting entries to ensure quality and consistency.

• Assist in resolving discrepancies in vendor accounts or other accounting-related issues. Requirements • Previous experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop and Online for accounting tasks.

• Strong ability to perform account and bank reconciliations accurately.

• Demonstrated self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and vendors.

• Commitment to completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
