Description We are looking for a skilled Buyer to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring materials, goods, or services essential to the organization's operations. This role requires someone with strong analytical and communication abilities, as well as a talent for building and maintaining vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and source materials, goods, and services to support operational needs.

• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure quality standards.

• Maintain and strengthen vendor relationships to ensure consistent delivery and service.

• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.

• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement requirements and align purchasing strategies.

• Evaluate supplier performance and address issues to improve quality and reliability.

• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitive pricing.

• Support the purchasing department in meeting organizational goals and objectives.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations. Requirements • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles.

• Strong knowledge of purchase order management and supplier relationship practices.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

• Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.

• Familiarity with inventory management and cost-saving strategies.

• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
